Deleting AWS Log Groups with the CLI

As with most things involving AWS and the CLI, deleting Log Groups is quite straightforward once you know the syntax.

Given a log group called “HelloAgain”, use the following:

aws logs delete-log-group --log-group-name /aws/lambda/HelloAgain

That’s it!

To easily get a list of logs:

aws logs describe-log-groups | grep "logGroupName"
